Boston Cares mobilizes more than 25,000 volunteers annually in support of Greater Boston schools and non-profit agencies. We offer a wide array of programs and opportunities that make it easy for you to volunteer no matter how busy your schedule is.
Our signature Calendar Program features more 200-250 projects each month through which members volunteer at a variety of projects. These projects include:
- planting community gardens,
- serving meals to the homeless,
- cleaning parks,
- painting community centers,
- tutoring children,
- GED prep for adults,
- ushering at cultural performances,
- and much, much more.
Boston Cares offers several specialized programs. For corporate volunteers, our Hands at Work program provides comprehensive project planning to ensure meaningful service for employees. For young people, we offer a Youth/Teen & Family Program a program providing volunteer projects that school-age kids can enjoy as a group or with their families. For volunteers looking to delve deeper into current events and issues affecting the community, we offer TeamWorks. Learn more
