The Boston Cares TeamWorks Program is focused on facilitating the shift from casual volunteering to intentional citizenship. Each TeamWorks session consists of a series of three to five projects, where individual volunteers select a team to learn about specific issues, organizations and/or communities encountered through volunteerism.
TeamWorks provides specialized volunteering opportunities around a theme or impact area and with some of our most popular non-profit partner sites. As a TeamWorks volunteer, you will join a team of 6-10 other individual volunteers and serve together over 6-8 weeks. This gives you an opportunity to build your volunteer community and delve deeper into your projects.
TeamWorks runs five times a year: Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, and Holiday. All teams will participate in service learning to better understand the impact our partner organizations make with the help of volunteers.
Please be mindful when committing to a team that these organizations depend on a specific volunteer group size in order to provide their services. Attendance at all projects, including the kickoff, is expected.
Below are the teams for TeamWorks Spring 2017.
Teams will be available for sign up starting at 9am Tuesday, March 14th.
